ContraxSuite 1.1.9 Release Update

Client demand for document and contract analytics tools like ContraxSuite continues to grow. Our ContraxSuite development team is growing, and we are working every day to add new functionality and improve existing capabilities. Our foreign language support for LexNLP is also expanding, as we continue to integrate with Elevate Services’ many global clients.

Since our last software release, our parent company Elevate has acquired Yerra Solutions, as well as flexible lawyering consultancy Cognatio Law. As the law company grows, Contraxsuite is becoming more in-demand. Read on for a detailed description of the latest updates to ContraxSuite.

Release Notes

ContraxSuite Release 1.1.9 is the twentieth open source release, and was made generally available on March 2nd, 2019. Release 1.1.9 focuses on the following broad issues:

  • Fixes and improvements to increase project stability
  • Additional enhancements of LexNLP parsers

Detailed Changelog

New in Release 1.1.9:

  • Fixed validation on field codes in order to prevent users from entering values that don’t match the Postgres table column naming criteria
  • Fixed bugs regarding saving or deleting values of fields with various type / annotation combinations
  • Fixed error with saving Document Field Value related to value in Depends On fields
  • Fixed errors in “Hide until” validation when related info field is used in a formula
  • Added document field values clearing for critical field changes (for document types and field types)
  • Fixed incorrect calculation of values number for related info field
  • Added validation of “Detected value” for document field detectors in the Django admin interface
  • Added redirect for kibana route without trailing slash
  • Increased time limit before restart for “Create Document” task
  • Upgraded Ubuntu version from 16.04 to 18.04 in Contraxsuite docker containers
  • Fixed “small integer” out-of-range error for CitationUsage model
  • Fixed incorrect clearing of running clustering tasks
  • Updated Tika parsing arguments and Tika server version to get rid of errors while parsing
  • Updates to LexNLP:
    • Updated setup script to install datefinder dependency correctly
    • Made massive improvements to the EN definitions parser
    • Can now catch section numbers with EN Acts parser
    • Added parsing for EN amounts abbreviations, such as “mm” and “mil” for “million”
    • Updated tests, and fixed pylint issues
